How Do I Forward Text Messages on My iPhone?
Sometimes, someone you’re texting with drops some info you need to share with someone else, like directions or some really exciting news. Rather than retyping all the details or adding people to an overwhelming group chat, you can just forward that single text. It’s really simple.
- Open Messages, go into a conversation, then lightly press and hold the text you want to forward. A bunch of different things will pop open.
- At the bottom of the screen, you’ll get a More… option. Tap that and you’ll see an arrow at the bottom right of your screen. Tap the arrow, and a new text screen will open.
- From here, you can select the contact you want to share the text with — the actual message is brought in automatically — and send it off.
- If you want to share more than one message, tap the dot next to the messages on the left of the screen to select everything you want to send, tap the arrow, select the contact, and boom, done.
Sharing texts is a pretty simple tool, but having the skill under your belt gets you that much closer to being an iPhone master.
