How Do I Forward Text Messages on My Android Phone?

Sharing texts on Android phones is a simple as a couple taps.

Sometimes, someone you’re texting with drops some info you need to share with someone else, like directions or some really exciting news. Rather than retyping all the details or adding people to an overwhelming group chat, you can just forward that single text. It’s really simple.

  1. Open Messages, go into a conversation, then press and hold the text you want to forward. A menu of icons will appear at the top of your screen.
  2. Tap the arrow, which will pop up a prompt where you can select who should get the forwarded message.
  3. Tap the name — the actual message is brought in automatically — and send it off.
  4. You can also share a text message via Twitter, Facebook Message, Google Drive, and other services you have installed on your phone by selecting the Share icon in the menu at the top of the screen.

Sharing texts is a pretty simple tool, but having the skill under your belt gets you that much closer to being an Android master.
