How Do I Save Photos from Android Texts?
We all text, but as a term “texting” is kind of inaccurate. After all, we do more than send words to friends; we also share photos and videos. If you’re anything like the average Android user, you’re sending a lot of visual material through text. And that’s where it all typically stays, in our message histories, which can be problematic when we’re looking for that one awesome photo we sent to our BFF months ago.
But instead of scrolling through mountains of messages, we should all be saving those images and clips to our Photos library — especially since it’s so easy.
- Start by opening the Messages app and selecting the conversation with the sent photo.
- Once you’ve found the image you want to save, tap and hold it to bring up a series of three icons at the top of your screen.
- Tap the icon that looks like a disk, and the photo is saved to a new album in your Photos library.
That’s it. Now that your photos are freed from text purgatory, they’re much easier to print, post, share — and, yes, text again.
