Change These Settings to Extend Your iPhone Battery Life

Using your iPhone to text, play games, and browse the internet can seriously drain your battery. It can also be hard on your eyes, especially if you read a lot on your device.

By changing just two screen settings—brightness and text size—you can extend your phone’s battery life and reduce eye strain. Here’s how:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom edge or down from the top edge of your screen (depending on your iPhone) to open the Control Center.
  2. Drag the  slider up or down to adjust the brightness.

Turn on Auto Brightness

With this setting, your phone will detect the light around you and adjust the screen accordingly.

  1. Open Settings and tap General > Accessibility.
  2. Tap Display Accommodations and turn on Auto–Brightness .

Adjust Text Size

Tap Settings > Display & Brightness > Text Size and adjust text size using the slider.

See how easy that was? No need to tilt your phone and squint now that you can see your device clearly.
